我们化屋村原名“化屋基”，苗语叫“悬崖下的村寨”，就在乌江边上。我打小喝这乌江水，她是我们的母亲河。过去很多人搞网箱养鱼，乌江变“污江”，走近都能闻到臭味。现在我收起渔网，当上了护河员，每天七点半就和老婆开船打捞垃圾、巡护河岸，一天跑近20公里，一个月能挣6000元。江水变清，游客夸咱村美，我很自豪，央视热播剧《乌蒙深处》就是在我们村取景的。以后，我肯定一直守着母亲河，让她干干净净的！
Our Huawu Village was originally called "Huawuji," which means "village under the cliff" in the Miao language. It's located right by the Wujiang River. I've been drinking its water since I was a child; it's our mother river. In the past, many people raised fish in cages, turning the Wujiang into a polluted river, with a stench you could smell from afar.
Now I've put away my fishing cages and become a river patrolman. Every morning at 7:30, my wife and I take our boat out to collect floating garbage and patrol the riverbanks, covering nearly 20 kilometers a day, and earning 6,000 yuan a month.
The river water has become clean, and tourists praise the beauty of our village. I'm very proud that the popular CCTV drama Deep in the Wumeng Mountains was filmed in our village.
In the future, I will definitely continue to protect our mother river and keep her clean!

绿水青山就是金山银山。这道理我们最懂：没有洱海月映苍山雪，哪来游客如织？
我愿将洱海保护的故事讲给后人听，让往后每一代人都能指着苍山洱海，骄傲地说——这是我们白族人的金山银山。
I am a native Bai man born and raised by the shores of Erhai Lake. This lake has sustained our people from generation to generation.
Now, the environment of the lake has improved. More and more tourists visit here, and my family has also benefited from tourism.
Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. We all understand this best: without the moonlit reflection of the snowy Cangshan Mountains shimmering on Erhai, how could tourists keep coming?
I would love to tell the story of protecting the lake to future generations, so that every generation to come can point to the mountains and the lake and proudly say—these are the invaluable assets of our Bai people.

我叫刘永珍，在龙华镇中埂村守了大半辈子的山和水。以前跟着老作坊做土纸，眼瞅着溪水一点点变浑变黄，心里也隐隐不安。
2016年，政府号召转型，镇上1300多户都动了起来。我也曾想过养牛养羊，可一想到可能带来的污染，就迟疑了。最后，我选择了冷水鱼和娇贵的娃娃鱼。人家都说，这鱼是“生态试纸”，水质差一点儿都活不成。从那以后，我天天守着山泉、清理河道，看着溪水重新变得清凌凌的，鱼苗在石缝间自在游动，这颗心才渐渐踏实下来。
现在，我的年收入有近40万元，相比较以前办土纸厂收入翻了近10倍。如今我明白了：好生态，真的能当饭吃。山水养好了，它回馈给你的，远比你想象的更多。
守着这一片绿，日子越过越有盼头。
My name is Liu Yongzhen, and I've spent most of my life in Zhonggeng Village, Longhua Town, surrounded by mountains and rivers. I used to work in a traditional paper mill, and watched the stream gradually turn murky and yellow, which troubled me deeply.
In 2016, when the government encouraged industrial transformation, over 1,300 households in our town responded. I considered raising cattle or sheep, but the pollution risks made me hesitate. Finally, I chose to raise cold-water fish and the delicate Chinese giant salamander. People say these creatures are "ecological indicators"; they can't survive in poor water quality.
Since then, I've been diligently protecting the mountain springs and clearing the riverbeds. Seeing the water turn crystal clear again and the fish fry swimming freely among the rocks finally put my mind at ease.
Now, my annual income is nearly 400,000 yuan, almost ten times what I earned from the traditional paper mill. Now I understand that good ecology truly provides a livelihood. When you care for the mountains and rivers, they give back far more than you can imagine.
Living amid this greenery, life feels brighter every day.

重庆是长江经济带上游的核心城市，是西部开放门户、综合交通枢纽、内陆开放高地和生态屏障。10年前，习近平总书记视察果园港时说：“这里大有希望。”
当时我还是一名岸边吊桥操作员。总书记的话我一直牢记在心。
过去，果园港是个散杂货小码头，环境并不好，晴天是沙漠，雨天是黄河。大家卷起袖子加油干，码头十年大变样。
今天，果园港不仅是我国内河最大的多式联运枢纽港，也成为一座花园式港口，我们可以骄傲地说，“绿水青山就是金山银山”的理念同样能在港口建设中开花结果。
Chongqing is a core city in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, a gateway for opening-up in western China, a comprehensive transportation hub, an inland open economic zone, and an ecological barrier. Ten years ago, when General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Guoyuan Port, he said, "This place has great potential."
Back then, I was a crane operator on the docks, and his words have stayed with me ever since.
In the past, Guoyuan Port was a small one handling bulk and general cargo, and the environment was not good. It was like a desert on sunny days and like the Yellow River when it rained. Through everyone’s hard work, and the port has undergone tremendous changes in the past ten years.
Today, Guoyuan Port is not only the largest multimodal transport hub on China’s inland rivers, but also a garden-like port. We can proudly say that the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" also bore fruit in port construction.

长江大保护的号角吹响，十年禁渔与河道采砂专项治理同步推进，我和乡亲们响应号召收起渔网，在有关部门帮扶下，用周边生态养殖鱼做风干鱼，抱团转型、直播带货，从“靠水吃水”变成“护水兴水”。
看着洞庭湖水更清、候鸟更多，才懂长江大保护不是一句口号，而是代代相传的责任。盼下游的你们与我们同心协力，共守长江母亲河，让一江清水永续流淌、生机不息！
I am Liu Xiaoyun, living on the shores of Dongting Lake, and people here love to call me Pangjie. For over twenty years, I have made a living from the resources of the "Kidney of the Yangtze River."
With the call for the comprehensive protection of the Yangtze River, the ten-year fishing ban and the regulation of riverbed sand mining were launched together. My fellow villagers and I responded by putting away our fishing nets. With government support, we began using fish from local eco-aquaculture farms to make dried fish, transforming our industry together and selling our products through live streaming. We have shifted from "living off the water" to "protecting and thriving with the water."
Seeing the waters of Dongting Lake grow clearer and the number of migratory birds increase, I’ve realized that the comprehensive protection of the Yangtze River is not just a slogan, but a responsibility passed down through generations. I hope that you, downstream, will join us in this effort to protect our mother river, the Yangtze, so that her clear waters will flow forever, and her vitality will never fade!

鄱阳湖是我的家，是长江送给我们的一个“宝盆”。14岁，我开始以渔为生；46岁，我开始巡逻护鸟。十几年来，我写下了35本巡护日记、10册野生动物救护记录，累计超50万字。
绿水青山就是金山银山。这些年来，看到村民们从捕鸟偷鸟变为主动送来受伤的鸟，看到候鸟自由飞翔，看到受伤野生动物回归自然，我的心里真高兴。觉得为了保护鄱阳湖生态受的苦、累和伤，都是值得的。
我想把这部鄱阳湖生态“民间档案”继续写下去，要让“湖区天天有人巡”。
一个人的力量、一个协会的力量还远远不够，我期待更多专业、热情、年轻的力量，能来到这里，爱上这里。
Poyang Lake is my home, a "treasure basin" gifted to us by the Yangtze River. At 14, I started making a living by fishing; at 46, I began patrolling the lake and protecting birds. For more than ten years, I have written 35 volumes of patrol diaries and 10 volumes of wildlife rescue records, totaling over 500,000 words.
Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. Over the years, I've seen villagers change from poaching birds to voluntarily bringing in injured ones; I’ve seen migratory birds flying freely, and seen injured wild animals rescued and return to nature. These moments genuinely warm my heart. I feel that all the hardships, exhaustion, and injuries I've endured for the protection of the lake's ecosystem have been worthwhile.
I want to continue writing this "folk archive" of Poyang Lake's ecology, ensuring that "there are people patrolling the lake area every day".
The strength of one person or one association is far from enough. I hope more professional, enthusiastic, and young people will come here and fall in love with this place.

我是宜昌许家冲村的谢蓉，从小在长江边长大。
8年前，我在这里向习近平总书记汇报了我们移民创业的初心；如今，许家冲真的变了样——我们把乡愁绣成了产业，让绿水青山变成了金山银山。
我们也许做不出惊天动地的大事，但我们会一直用最踏实的方式守护着绿水青山。我们洗衣淘米后的生活用水，都会进入污水处理厂达标排放。去年6月，我们的再生水项目也用起来了，这些处理过的水可以送到家家户户门口，浇花浇地，一点都不浪费。长江大保护，就从这样的小事里，在我们三峡移民村扎下了根。
未来，我们不仅要把日子过成诗，更要让流淌的江水，永远清澈如诗。
I am Xie Rong from Xujiachong Village in Yichang, and I grew up by the Yangtze River.
Eight years ago, I reported to General Secretary Xi Jinping here about our initial aspirations for starting businesses as relocated villagers; today, Xujiachong has truly transformed—we have woven our nostalgia into an industry, turning our lush green mountains and clear waters into real assets.
We may not be able to accomplish earth-shattering feats, but we will always protect our clear waters and green mountains in the most down-to-earth way. The waste water from daily chores, such as washing clothes and rinsing rice, is sent to a sewage treatment plant before being discharged. Last June, our recycled water system also came into operation. Treated water can be delivered to every household for watering flowers and irrigating fields—not a drop wasted. The protection of the Yangtze River has taken root in our Three Gorges resettlement village through these small actions.
In the future, we hope not only to live a poetic life, but also to ensure that the flowing river remains clear forever.

1995年，我从岸上嫁到船上，成了渔民，靠捕鱼维持生计。慢慢地，长江里的鱼越来越少，环境也越来越差。
绿水青山就是金山银山。2019年，我交出自己的船，带着渔民一起上岸。2020年，我在政府的支持下开办劳务公司，带领渔民入股，帮助大家找到新工作，每年给大家分红，我们的日子过得越来越好了。
禁渔两三年后，我生活了几十年的薛家洼发生了巨大的变化，过去打车司机都不送的地方，现在很多人来江边拍婚纱照，太阳下山的时候特别漂亮，我希望能把长江一直保护下去。
In 1995, I married into a fishing family and became a fisherwoman, making a living by fishing. Gradually, fishing in the Yangtze River became harder and harder, and the environment deteriorated.
Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. In 2019, I gave up my boat and stepped ashore. In 2020, with government support, I started a labor service company, bringing the fishermen in as shareholders and helping them find new jobs. We distribute dividends every year, and our lives are getting better and better.
Two or three years after the fishing ban, Xuejiawa, where I have lived for decades, changed dramatically. Places that taxi drivers were not willing to go before are now popular spots for people to take wedding photos by the river. The sunset is especially beautiful. I hope to help protect the Yangtze River for the rest of my life.

Hello! I am Wu Zhan from Nantong. Over the past ten years of implementing the Yangtze River protection initiative, Nantong has seen remarkable changes. The riverbanks, once filled with the roar of machinery, are now ecological corridors; areas once dominated by chemical industries now boast clear waters, abundant fish, and frequent sightings of finless porpoises. We have made every effort to restore the riverbanks and wetlands, promoting a beautiful transformation from "production-oriented riverbanks" to "ecology-first riverbanks."
The Yangtze River flows, connecting us all. The mother river nourishes the lush greenery of Nantong and the vitality of the Chongming Island. 我今年63岁，跟石头打了一辈子交道。
以前，余村炮声隆隆，天灰水浑。我们在山里采石论吨买，一车几十块。温饱有了，环保没了。
如今，我们把山水保护起来。捡碎石，洗磨出天然花纹，变成一幅幅画。这样的一块石头，能卖几百几千块。
石头没变，变的是眼光、思路。绿水青山就是金山银山，这话真说到了我们的心坎里。护住山、守住绿，日子就能像石头的纹路，绵长、稳妥、有根有魂。
I am 63 years old now, and have spent my whole life working on quarrying.
In the past, the sound of explosions were heard all day long in Yucun Village, and the sky was filled with dust, and the water was muddy. We quarried stones in the mountains and sold them cheaply by the ton, a truckload for only a few dozen yuan. We had enough to eat, but the environment suffered.
Now, we protect the mountains and rivers. We gather broken stones, wash and polish them to reveal their natural patterns, turning them into works of art. A single stone like this can sell for hundreds or even thousands of yuan.
The stones haven't changed; what has changed is our perspective and mindset. The saying "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" truly resonates with us. When we protect the mountains and preserve the green, life becomes steady, grounded, and enduring—just like the patterns on the stone.

万里长江，奔流到海，崇明岛是长江大保护的“最后一道防线”，是我的家，也是千万只候鸟的家。
过去我是一名渔民，2009年我成了“护鸟人”，一转眼已经16年。
绿水青山就是金山银山。现在，崇明打造世界级生态岛，岛上小天鹅和珍稀鸟类一天天变多，环境越来越好，游客越来越多，我也越来越喜欢这份工作。
候鸟年年飞来，以后我还要年年守护。
The mighty Yangtze River flows to the sea, and Chongming Island is the "last line of defense" for its protection. It is my home, and also the home of millions of migratory birds.
In the past, I was a fisherman. In 2009, I became a "bird protector," and 16 years have passed in the blink of an eye.
Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. Now, Chongming is being developed into a world-class ecological island. The number of swans and rare birds on the island is increasing year by year, the environment is improving, and more and more tourists are coming. I have grown to love this work even more.
Migratory birds return every year, and I will continue to protect them as long as I can.
长江十年禁渔
我国自2020年1月1日起实施长江十年禁渔计划，旨在保护长江水生生物资源、修复水域生态环境。该计划覆盖长江流域332个保护区及干流、支流等重点水域，全面禁止生产性捕捞至2030年。
长江立法
2021年3月1日，《中华人民共和国长江保护法》正式颁布实施， 这是我国首部流域专门法律，旨在加强长江流域生态环境保护和修复，促进资源合理利用，实现人与自然和谐共生。
法律共九章九十六条，涵盖规划与管控、资源保护、水污染防治、生态环境修复、绿色发展等内容。建立长江流域协调机制统筹保护工作，明确生态流量管控指标，实施重点水域禁捕，强化非法采砂联合执法。
长江文化
2022年1月，长江国家文化公园建设正式启动
长江国家文化公园建设范围综合考虑长江干流区域和长江经济带区域，涉及上海、江苏、浙江、安徽、江西、湖北、湖南、重庆、四川、贵州、云南、西藏、青海13个省区市。
2023年7月，《长江文化保护传承弘扬规划》公布
规划在保护好、传承好、弘扬好长江文化等方面作出安排部署，力求充分发挥长江文化在长江经济带高质量发展中的重要作用，推动长江文化育民、惠民、利民，使长江文化成为全体人民精神生活共同富裕的重要引领和社会主义文化强国建设的重要支撑。
